KOTA SAMARAHAN ( 26 February 2025) – PPNS welcomed a visit from the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) for the Sarawak Product Evaluation (SPE). The entourage, consisting of 28 members, was led by Puan Rubiahtul ‘Adwiyah Binti Haji Md Yusof, Director of Tourism Malaysia. Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture Sarawak (MOTAC), the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP), Sarawak Forestry Corporation, Malaysia Association of Travel & Tour Agents (MATTA) Sarawak Chapter, Borneo Talk, and the Sarawak Tourist Guide Association (SKTGA) also attended.
On behalf of the entourage, Tuan Haji Taufik, Board of Directors of STB, mentioned that this visit would become a benchmark and evaluation process for SPE. He was impressed with the variety of products at Peladang eShop, which can become a major attraction for tourists. The purpose of the visit was to assess key tourism products to ensure that our services, facilities, and amenities enhance visitors’ experiences when exploring Sarawak’s tourism attractions. The members of the entourage were briefed about PPNS businesses by Mdm. Gloria Nanang, Deputy General Manager while Ms. Neo Lee Wee, Manager of Marketing of Farmer’s Product briefed on Peladang eShop and retail operations.
