Seek out MEDAC instead of Ah Longs for business loans, Wan Junaidi tells entrepreneurs
KUCHING, July 21: Don’t go to Ah Longs (illegal money lenders) for loans but insteady apply with the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC) which has eased its application process for budding entrepreneurs.
This is the advice of its minister Dato Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar who called on micro and informal enterprises to reach out to its agency TEKUN Nasional for hassle free financing assistance.
The Santubong MP expressed concerned over reports that many entrepreneurs are turning to loan sharks instead of going to the designated government agencies to borrow money.
